FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is an escape room?
An escape room is a live action game where participants must work together to find clues and solve puzzles in order to achieve a goal within the time allotted. It’s fun. You’ll love it! Want more info? Google, baby!
How long is an escape room game?
At Bradford Escape Academy, you will be given 1 hour to escape the room. We ask that you show up 15 minutes prior to game time, and there is often a short (5 min) debrief period after the game. Plan to spend about 75 to 90 minutes for the entire experience (although less if you manage to escape before the time runs out!). Late arrivals can still play, but may not get the full hour to escape the room.
How many people can participate at once?
Our escape room game "The Interview" accommodates 2 to 8 players at a time, while both "Alien Abduction" and "Shadowmarsh" can take groups of 2 to 6 players. If you have more than 8 members in your group, please let us know and we will discuss possible options with you.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $23.89 per person plus HST ($27.00 including HST). Payment will be made upon arrival. We accept most major credit & debit cards. If you prefer to pay cash, please bring exact change.
How do I make a booking?
Please use our online booking system to reserve your booking. You will receive an email confirming your reservation. Same day bookings can text us at (289) 716-1954 to discuss availability.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice prior to your reserved booking is required to reschedule or cancel your booking. Appointments made using our on-line booking system can be rescheduled or cancelled through the link on your confirmation email. Otherwise please contact us at or (905) 551-0189.
Is there a waiver form to sign?
Why, yes there is - the Escape Room is sort of an intense experience! Each guest will need to sign a waiver form before participating, and guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign as well. If you'd like to sign the waiver prior to your visit, here's a link to the form you can download and print:
An electronic version of our waiver form can be found here.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a digital copy of your reservation confirmation and any pre-signed waiver forms.
Are there any age restrictions?
Groups must have at least one participant aged 16 or older. [Waiver forms for all participants under 18 must be signed by a parent or guardian.] Our escape rooms are family friendly, however are not suitable for children under the age of 7.
How about birthday parties?
We think that the Escape Room would be a fun (but challenging) experience for a group of teens to participate in on someone's birthday (accompanied of course by at least one participant 16 or older). Our feeling is that groups of kids mostly under 13 would likely find the experience too difficult (but hey, you know your kids better than us!) Due to the limited size of our facility, we cannot provide space for activities outside of the escape game itself. We do have a slightly easier version of our game "The Interview" designed for use with larger groups of primarily 10 to 13 year-olds. Please email us for details.
Will we be combined with other groups?
No. Your experience will be for you and your chosen group only.
Is the room accessible to people with disabilities?
The building in which we are located has an elevator as well as an access ramp. Some of the game rooms may require a small step up then down. Accommodations can be made for people requiring assistance. If you have concerns or specific requests please email us or call.
Is it scary?
No! Our rooms are designed to be family friendly, although some would describe the experience as "intense".
Are we able to take pictures?
To preserve the integrity of the game we ask that you not take any pictures or videos or use your smart phones while the game is in progress. There will be an opportunity for a group photo after the game is completed, or your time is up.
Can I bring my lock pick set?
Leave the picks at home, Nerdlinger. It will take away from the game.
